Unfortunately our ruling elite chose Half-ass Imperialism over Americanism. 

They were handed the keys to unlimited American prosperity and chose instead to make themselves and Communist China incredibly rich at the expense of 80% of the American people.

Americans are not and never will be built for Empire. 

We will kick the crap out of you if needed but do not have the stomach for actual imperialism and conquest.
